This will help you to get to your feet quickly, and if you are lucky, all the costs you incur for food, water, and hotel costs will be reimbursed as your house is being reconstructed. Thus, you should document the receipts you are given in case they are required by the company for your compensation.

Additionally, you can document the damage to your home or business as well as all the damaged possessions. Take pictures and videos from room to room without leaving out any details and document them as well. This will make it easier to claim for compensation from your insurance company. Poor recording of the damaged items might lead to inadequate compensation.
